Based on repeated suggestions received, the LMP Group initiated a program on Career Counseling and Guidance for the students of Karwar. We organize a one day seminar for students from our community in Karwar. The Seminar is conducted by well known professionals in Career Guidance from the Karnataka University alongwith expert advice from successful business men for students from first year to Graduate level in all the faculties eg BA, B.Com, BSc, Diploma, BE, B. Arch, etc.

The first such program was held on June 8, 2014 at Saddicha Hall, Karwar. Notices were sent to 25 schools in and around Karwar informing them about the Seminar and we received enrolment forms from almost 250 students of our community. Dr Narayan M. Savant inaugurated the program. Dr Savant, a prominent personality, hails from Savant family of Baad, Karwar and is completely devoted to the service of mankind. He visits Karwar once in a month and provides treatment to about 800 patients from in and around Karwar. He has a dedicated Ashram at Bangalore to provide free medical treatment. He has thousands of followers and we are indeed very fortunate to have a person of his caliber amongst us and we should take guidance from him.

Three distinguished Counselors from Dharwad University provided guidance to the youths of the community. Students from Karwar got an opportunity to interact with experienced counselors and were briefed about the several options available in various fields.
